I poured the rest of my gin down the drain today.

Maybe that's not a profound statement on the surface; after all, there was only half the bottle left. But it was a 1.75L bottle, and after less than a week, there was only half the bottle left.

Haha! Hey, sometimes it's great for getting the creative juices flowing. ;)

That's my difference -- especially socially, once I start, I have a really hard time stopping... even to the point where I *can't* stop.

I'm considering maybe trying in a year to see if I can have, say, one beer a month without craving it, but considering it's been over a week and I'm still feeling pangs, and knowing that I could very easily revert back to old habits... it's cold turkey for now. :)

haha luckily ages 15-25 involved so many drinking related puking incidences and other stomach upsets that inevitably it would lead to me swearing it off for weeks/months at a time and it kinda killed the interest in it being anything regular/habitual in my life. lol!!!

Haha! I like to think that I'm "catching up", as I only started drinking when I was 20. ;) Still, though, I think I've reached the point where I need to (and should) be more responsible, so it means making a major lifestyle change.

How were your parents about drinking?
